Social media for a jewellery shop
Jewellery is the easiest category in India to photograph well and the hardest to post consistently, because the buying calendar is brutal and the pieces move. Here is what works, and what has to be shot.
The formats that earn saves
Saves matter more than likes here, and they matter for a specific reason: a woman deciding on a set saves it to show her mother, her husband or her sister before she buys. A post that gets saved is a post being circulated inside a household. Plan for the save, not the like.
- Close macro of one piece against a plain ground. One piece, not a tray. Trays photograph as clutter and nobody saves clutter.
- Bridal sets as a carousel — full set first, then each component. This is the highest-saving format in the category and the easiest to shoot.
- On the body. A necklace on a neck reads as scale and drape; the same necklace flat reads as an object. Alternate the two.
- The workshop. Hands setting a stone, polishing, weighing. Craft footage performs because almost nobody in the category shoots it.
- Care and styling. How to store a kundan set, what to pair with a silk saree. Genuinely useful, and it does not depend on new stock.
The calendar the year actually runs on
Jewellery is a lead-time business. Gifting content has to be up weeks before the date, not on it — which is why the planner looks about five weeks ahead rather than one.
| Window | What to be posting |
|---|---|
| Akshaya Tritiya | Gold-buying intent peaks. Lightweight and entry pieces alongside the flagship ones |
| Wedding seasons | Bridal sets, trousseau guidance, booking and customisation lead times |
| Navratri and Durga Puja | Colour-led styling, regional pieces, festive daily wear |
| Karva Chauth | Gifting, and the husband is often the buyer — write for him too |
| Dhanteras and Diwali | The largest window of the year. Content must be live well before the day |
| Quiet months | Craft, care, customer stories, repair and exchange services |
What has to be photographed
You need three things on file, and everything else is arrangement: each piece on a plain ground, each piece worn, and the workshop. A phone with a window and a plain cloth is enough. What no tool can do is invent a piece you never shot.
The part that is genuinely delicate
Rates move daily and making charges vary. EaseMyPost will not publish a price, a rate, a discount or a purity claim you have not supplied — not as a limitation but as a hard restriction you lock during setup. A wrong number under your shop name is worse than silence.
How EaseMyPost handles it
It reads your existing posts — the photographs themselves, not only the captions — and builds a brand profile. It studies the accounts doing well in your category, reel by reel. It plans the week against the calendar above, your own saves and shares per person reached, and whatever is trending that your brand can honestly touch. Then it writes the post, sends the idea to your WhatsApp, and builds nothing until you reply Approve. See the twelve stages in detail.
When a post needs a photograph you do not have, you get a short shoot brief instead of a post with a stock image dropped into the gap. That is the honest limit of this or any tool: it works with what you have photographed.
