What you need to connect an Instagram account
Publishing through Instagram's official API has requirements that are set by Meta, not by us:
- The account must be an Instagram Business or Creator account, not a personal one.
- It must be linked to a Facebook Page.
- You connect it once through Facebook Login during setup.
If your account is currently personal, switching it to a Business account is free and takes a minute in the Instagram app. We walk you through the connection during onboarding.
Scheduling and timing
Posting times are chosen from what has worked on your own account rather than generic best-time-to-post advice. Where there is not enough history to be confident, the system says so instead of inventing a recommendation.
Common questions
Can it post Instagram Stories?
Story support is limited today. Reels, carousels and photo posts are the supported formats.
Does it need my Instagram password?
No. Connection is through Facebook Login and the official Graph API. We never ask for or store your Instagram password.
Which other platforms are supported?
Facebook, YouTube and Threads, alongside Instagram. TikTok and LinkedIn are not supported.
